PHOTOGRAPHY
I learned photography the old-fashioned way, with 35-mm film, an SLR camera, and hours in a dark room. I've shot sports, everyday news and more for newspapers. I enjoy capturing the ephemeral, the mundane made extraordinary by its brevity.
A few years ago, I traded my camera for the convenience of digital portability. I miss it.

1992-1993
THE BEGINNING ...
I shot these photos on film toward the end of my time at The Muleskinner, the weekly newspaper at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. I then developed and printed the images myself. Fun times in a dark room, back when that was a thing. I have stacks of negatives from those old-fashioned years, but unfortunately no way to print them.
